American Emmy Award winner and Hollywood Filmmaker, James Higginson who also teaches Filmmaking in Berlin, spent a whole day at SPICE interacting with the Media Students. His Master Class was based on his Award winning Documentary ‘Shuddhi’ that revealed many truths about Hansen’s disease (Leprosy) and the life of those affected.

In the morning hours he had a two-hour session with the undergraduate BAMMC students and in the afternoon with the Post Graduate Filmmaking students. Both the groups had a great learning about the film and the journey behind the making of this film.

Higginson is a very passionate Filmmaker who has 30 + years as a fine artist and Hollywood professional He makes films for a Cause or message and not just for money. He is a down-to-earth Director who is ever willing to collaborate with SPICE, Department of Filmmaking. No doubt, this providential visit of James Higgson at SPICE has taken the institute to an international Level.
