What will I learn in a Diploma in Journalism?
In the Diploma in Journalism, you will learn the nuances of journalism- how to identify news sources, how to collect news, how to decipher what’s newsworthy, how to verify facts and how to deliver this news.
At the halfway point, our students are allowed to choose between print and broadcast journalism. Those interested in print, are taught to write for print- editorials, columns and opinions, reporting by going out on the field to collect stories, editing these stories on Adobe InDesign, along with handling a newspaper – The SPICE Enquirer, for the practical experience.
On the other hand, broadcast students are taught to write for television, create rundowns, face the camera, collect bytes, anchoring, choosing relevant images and videos and editing news bulletins using Adobe Premiere Pro.
There’s a lot more you’ll learn. Read the syllabus to get the whole picture.
Why choose SPICE?
